THE COLORS OF THE RAINBOW

THE COLORS OF THE RAINBOW

In his eyes
the sea and the sun were reflected
He could hear the birds singing
He smelled the scent of the flowers
He ran carefree on the green meadows
And on the seashore
was flying a kite
as the wind caressed his face
and the sun warmed his body
Looking around him at the destruction
The gloomy sky
the gray landscapes and the rubble
And in the din
of a long rain of bombs
Immersed in an air
now become unbreathable
He looked away
Looking for a why….
Why…
He too is a child like so many others
He deserved all this ...
Then the silence ...
forever hugged him ...
Imprinting in his eyes
The colors of the rainbow ..
