The colour of love?

The colour of love?

I'm told love is a wonderful colour
So I ask to describe its hue
Is it an intense shade of scarlet
Or the calmness of a velvet blue
Could it be a yellow, lemon or citron
Not for such a fiery emotion !

It could never be a green
Brown or beige would never fit
Imagine if it was raven black
A devilish thought I will admit
Is there an argument for purple
I don't get a single butterfly
And as for gaudy orange
That just makes me want to cry

To sum up this abstract dilemma
I have arrived at this conclusion
To stop all the pointless debates
To put a halt to silly confusion
Love is not a single colour
It is mixed by the heart aflame
Let me break this to you now
Loves colour has no known name.
