The Coward Crush

If they knew love.
Long stares unseen.
Hope for attention is strong.
Hopeful act looks desperate.
Talking to them,
Leaves you flustered.
Trust for love long forgotten,
While keeping secrets close.
All confidence shatters,
As they draw closer.
Strong walls shatter,
While attempting to keep cool.
Flirting is on full display,
Leaving blushing cheeks,
While too scared to tell them,
Leaving you speechless and alone.

The Song "Sucker" by the Jonas Brothers inspired this poem. I know that I have related so many times in this poem. I get so nervous to tell someone that I like them. I feel like its a coward move, so in this poem I want people to figure out that you can do it. Just go up and tell that person. Honestly whats the worst thing they could say. The person you like might actually be scared to tell you or someone else their feelings. Hope you can find some inspiration from this poem. Feel free to tell me what you think. Thanks for reading.
Tremendous work, Ella! I enjoyed this very much and agree with what you say, fear so often denies what could have been. To prepare oneself for rejection before the approach is the wisest way, because if the feeling is not reciprocated, at least you sought out what had to be tested and the infatuation along with the rejection will fade as you move on to someone else.
WOW thanks so much!! I feel like, yes it can be hard to tell someone how you feel, but you never know how that person feels about you!
That's so true Ella!
