The Crossroads

Watching the history channel about the man Robert Johnson. Alleged for selling his own soul to the devil to learn to play guitar at a cross roads intersection at Midnight. Johnson was famous for Me and the Devil Blues, and other songs and such. So I wrote this I'm not finished with it but heres what I gathered from learning. It's not Β finished and ill have to edit it and finish it I justΒ Like the way it sounded.Β
The CrossroadsΒ
It was midnightΒ
The crossroads far
I met a young boy there named Tommy
He was playing his guitarΒ
He told me about him and the devil
And what he would doΒ
If people would hear him playΒ
Every night spent hearing his song
Still haunts me to this day.
He said I sold my soul to the devil,
And he traded me this guitar.
He said "People are gonna comeΒ
From miles around,
Son your gonna be a star!
I'll give you what you wantΒ
Your fame and fortune too,
Just sign your name on the bottom lineΒ
Because I'm going to get my due."

I thoroughly enjoyed the read, my friend
Thank you My Friend. Not finished. And it's not what I'm used to at this point im just trying to find inspiration anywhere LOL
My suggestion would be to take some time to read others poetry, you might find inspirationΒ
I may try that. I usually resort to that last, so I can avoid being unoriginal. Originality in this business is the key to success. Everyone has their own styles. I'm still trying to find mine lol I'm a jack of all trades when it comes down to pen and paper.Β
