THE CYCLE

Another day, has come and gone
I go to sleep, await the dawn
So yet again, the cycle starts
As night arrives and then departs

Then once more, the day comes in
And leads the way, till nights begin
Round and round, the day, night goes
It never ends, I suppose

Until one day, the shadow calls
Then darkness on our life befalls
But rays of shining light break through
And we receive, what we are due
