Poem -
The Dark
Ominous scenarios cast toward haste,
Wrenching my innards, leaves a bitter taste.
Breath in my lungs short and thin,
Envisioning the dark before it could begin.
Repeat of torment played out incessantly,
Heart a flutter and sweaty palms indefinitely.
For reasons unknown my clarity a haze,
battles in secrecy bewilder my days.
Hundreds of voices in chorus but one,
Casualty to my own sombre of song,
Doused in cesspool and betwixt by fear,
Evidently depressed by stress & career.

You write well. Anxiety and depression often go hand in hand but not always and whether or not they do or don't both are horrible, shitty illnesses to endure. Career is a tough one because it's a necessity and in these uncertain times it is not wise to job jump. All the best. Well written poem x
