The Dark Abyss

The wind howls in the
darkness of the night
As the stars start to
fade in the velvet night
Darkness swarms around
the stillness of the night
As time slowly fades from
the passing of the day

There is a song that plays
in the moon lit night
That drops me to the ground
which I stand
The love that once filled 
this beating heart of mine
Is washed away in the
sand of time

Lonely nights I sit watching
time pass me by
Wondering why I wasted the
love my heart held within 
You tore my heart with
the blade high above
Watching the blood slowly 
drip to the soil beneath

Blood stain tears streamed
down my white pale cheecks
As the love slowly fades from 
this heart within
You played me  for a fool in
this game of love
Thinking that the battle 
was over again

I will lie in peace high above
while the angels sing
