The Darkness Inside Me

A mask for all to behold 
Secrets within not to be told 
Secrets contained with such passion 
Secrets for others to judge 
Within a darkness creeping stronger than light 
Out of mind 
Out of sight 
Darkness to you a thought of horror 
Light to you happiness and glamour 
But when doors are open not to be open 
And words are said not to be spoken 
The darkness will shadow it all away
Silence will leave only you to stay 
The light will bring it back once more 
And unlock that saintly door 
Only then will you see 
And thank the darkness inside of me
