Poem -

The Eclipse

My feelings are changeable like the weather,
the sun represents my smile and rain exemplifies my tears.

When the sun goes down, I am empty, I am alone,
even my shadow cannot be seen.

During the daylight, I put on a mask of happiness and joy,
while inside I’m being torn apart by anger and by grief.

Everything changes when I am with you,
a simple greeting, coming from you,is like a heavens voice, giving warmth to my icy cold heart.

If not for thee a place full of flames is where I would be.

I survived this test, but the disgust has stayed,
if not for thee a place full of flames is where I would be.

Nicely done. But I'm intrigued by

If not for thee a place full of flames is where I would be.

It basically means ā€žIf not for you i would be deadā€

Thanks for your explanation, Nicholas. This is the strongest expression of longing, belonging, and devotion.
