The Day Christmas Died

The Day Christmas Died

Christmas died for me the day my beloved Helen was no more, 23rd December 2017 she passed away I remember the first Christmas we were together I cried tears of joy

24th December I sat alone at home looking at our Christmas tree trying to justify why It was still stood there, I couldn't find a reason no way would want to celebrate another Christmas without her

I pulled the fairy light plugs from the wall and through tree and all, Into the garden where eight month on It still remains
there will never be another Helen, neither will there be a Christmas tree.
