The day I met Him

I see you watching me as I enter the door
I know not who you are and yet I see you as if I know you
I am there purely by accident you see
Picking up a mutual acquaintance to visit this place
You strike me from where you are
The black you wear and hat with a squint in fromt of a TV
It is a day I never forget
A day I decided I wanted to meet you
Yet I never even knew I was looking for you
You struck a chord inside one I won't ever forget
One I wanted to know what meant
I learn your name as you learn mine
That fateful day in May which was a Saturday
I couldn't understand why you made me nervous
I didn't understand it at the time 
My soul loved you the moment I saw you playing that game
I had my son and decided I'd stay
Why not after all my life was upside down already
So I sit and stay awhile.
The next we meet I brang the drinks for courage
We stayed and talked vicariously through the night
Every move you make I noticed Every moment etched in my memory as tou talked quietly
You seemed so preoccupied
Watching boy as he would cry
As I changed him and kept him close by my side
I noticed the gold you wore
So I inquired and the story came to life
We were more alike than I cared to be
Yet so intrigued by the mystery
That was the day I reached accross 
Stold the gold and wore it for reasons I did not know
I guess it freed you from the grasp it had 
as it disappeared after that night
Not long after this I had my revelation I needed to go
You so calmly called me right before
I had no idea you liked me at all
You asked for me
I said you don't want to know me
I am crazy as can be Headed away to fix myself
In my state of misery I was shocked that day
For you said you would wait for me
Wait you did so lovingly
I came back refreshed and happily came to see
The man I was to marry and keep forever as my family
