The December Haze 🎄

And I thought about my dear departed Mother and Father, with a teardrop in my eye

Were they watching over me with Angels wings, as yonder fluffy clouds passed me by

Awww Christmas time makes me miss my old folks, and I cannot help but sigh…

Perhaps I reminisced my childhood days of Oh so long ago

When I wished upon yon twinkly stars, those were such happy times you know

But nowadays I have children of my own, and as I watch them grow

My life is passing me by Oh so fast, just like those westerly winds that blow

And yes I was just a tiny tot, back in those bygone days

When I used to stand out in our backyard, along with my old folks and stargaze

So I whisper “Merry Christmas Mam and Dad” I will think about you always
