The deciduous tree 💚

The deciduous tree 💚

Stripped bare brown and sparse stood the deciduous tree

And there it was betwixt the woodlands for all to see

Whilst all around about the trestled trunk was a carpet of crumpled fall

As a westerly wind whistled that woe begotten winterly call

Bowed and broken branches looked naked at first glance

Lacking lustred leaves amidst a lost romance

But within a forest full of trees interwoven and entwined

Evergreen clusters of conifers green and pined

That tall twiggy tree stood out from the rest of the crowd

With its canopy of empty Crows nests clinging up above as a shroud

Then I marvelled at this magnificent Mother natures view

As I smelled the dampness of earthiness from that early morning dew

An entanglement of shrubbery as far as the eye could see

Where that brown bare tree stood out so proud and predominantly..
