The Disgruntled Poets Society

The Disgruntled Poets Society

They fed him nothing but honey,
For three captive weeks on end.
What happened next was horrific,
Stephen King could have penned.

They then set fire to his hair,
Burning down just like a wick.
A human candle he had become,
Nothing left but a waxy slick.

So to all the critics out there,
Beware The Disgruntled Poets Society.
When you cruelly undermine new work,
For they reply with original notoriety.

Gwendoline many thanks and cheers to your good self for your always welcomed moral poetry support.
As I said to Marion, another time and another place.
And I'll never, ever reveal the name of that site and its cabal of only a few shallow end of the gene pool members , which is PoemHunter.😂
Thanks again and you and everyone else on here are a breath of fresh air.
A warm breeze of calm and common sense, for which I'm thankful and grateful to be among.❤️

Gwendoline you are a star that doesn't sparkle but shines and oh so brightly.
Thank you my poetic friend so much for your kind generous words.❤️

Marion thanks for your comment and I too love a dark one and this has NOTHING to do with any good and honourable member here on Cosmo, the complete polar opposite.
This I wrote about a year ago when I was on another poetry site,
a grim place of which I'm now free,
where dark deeds were performed by creatures (certain members/trolls)
who go bump in the night.
So I decided to bump back!😊
Thanks again Marion and I wish you well and heads up, St Fagan's Welsh Folk Museum is open this April 1st for 1,000 good pilgrims and for 5 days a week.
And if you do come and visit I'll at least buy you a cuppa and make it a V.I.P visit to remember.❤️
And if you play your cards right I'll even throw in some biscuits!😂

Max, thank you for the five stars and the complete shebang you have bestowed.
Hang in there Max and glad you enjoyed it, just a little comedy of truth to help pass the time of day.
I wish you well, from one poetic friend to another.
