The Drive Home

The Drive Home

A plastic bag blows across the road.
The wind howls through the crack in your window.
The sounds of your favorite rock band take over the radio.
You're alone with your thoughts.

A thousand and one things are on your mind.
The night is young.
You feel alive-
More alive than you do during the day.
A performance high perhaps?
It's at this point that you realize change is needed...
But why? What needs to change?
Only time will tell I'm afraid
And the drive home won't permit you to figure it out.
