The Enigma of a Journey

The Enigma of a Journey

Some carry the weight on their shoulders,
a grief, a regret or a shattered heart
 or just the responsibility
of walking the mile or taking the part.
 The burden is much lighter
when the past is left behind
 and the journey gets easier
as time transforms wounds to scars.
Till my time stands still and frozen
and my breath pallid and dry,
 I shall live content
as the love for the journey is everlasting
and my love for you never dies.

Thank you Wilford, it's very nice of you!
I have noticed that your last few poems are very sad and was wondering if they're the poet's writings (very good ones by the way) or Will's heart?
I didn't want to ask, but I am now.
Warm wishes, Bernadete

I see life itself as a journey (same viewpoint or principle applies) to all living things, regardless of size, or species ..

I very much like the way you have depicted the progressive nature and influence of time upon life and certain aspects of it (from wound to scar) is a good example of what I am trying to get at ..

Oh' and the unexpected surprises & mysteries encountered along the path, plus the finding and holding onto love ..

All in all, top notch Ma'am .. Neville

I think you have got it in à nutshell here B,
it can only be the love of the journey that gets us through because everything else is transient... as is the journey itself. I love your uniquely lovely style x

Love's eternal.

It is eternal. Yes Yiyan, love is eternal. Our father, mother & sister all gone now but they live in our hearts, they become loved eternal memories.
Thank you,
