~ The Faceless Poets ~
Faceless names, through years unfettered by muses
A cellophane place with 'un-fame' and elegy supplied
Where many a poet's pen has clawed and crawled confused
For the ink, like the poet's blood, can become sun-dried
Frozen cryptically, as faceless poet's throughout time...
Voices unnoticed, but words remembered, do retain
A friendly countenance, a joyous exuberance, ever-evolving
Thus, when discussed by the few, faceless poets do remain
As songs in our hearts, sung happily with records, ever-revolving
And like "The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier", faceless poets ever-calling...
In some long gone, parasol driven, crowding madness
A sea of youth explodes with a curiosity driven sadness
Where lost identities are fragments from faceless poets that hide
Growing virtues from talented minds that will not go quietly into the night
Promoted through legends, backwater storytellers, and wielders of rhyme...
It is this maleable foundation of faceless poets gone by
Upon which, thousands of years of artistic endeavor
Has grown and continued, to touch the hearts of You & I...
Tony Taylor

You are poetries champion Tony, your homage to those who have fallen unseen alongside poetries way side is staggering to read and digest.
A real journey of enlightening poetry a theme to my knowledge never explored or touched on before in such grand and uplifting style.
And I find it sad that great young promising poets in both World Wars are sadly lost.Â
And then there are the ones and their poetry who could have been if they survived and what we could have read and treasured from them.
Another thought-provoking great write on those who deserve to have their names at the very least, remembered for poetry prosperity and future generations to appreciate.
