THE FAIRY DANCE

On wings of gossamer
a little fairy flew
In rain and storm
as north wind blew.
She dipped and darted
among the trees
No time to stop, to bid good day
to birds or bees
Her hurried journey through
an enchanted wood
Was to warn her fairy king
as a good fairy should
Of a great emergency
that was due to unfold
That could threaten the lives
of their magical world
A human who thought he had seen
one night a fairy danceÂ
Had come to prove they were real
spotted them, in the distanceÂ
He came with cameras and more
equipped to spyÂ
But really she had no worry
she was invisible to naked eye
This the king conveyed to her
quelling her feelings of fear
But what had a human viewed this night
he needed to interfere
The fairy king said "my dear girl
I know not what he sawÂ
please don`t fret, we fairies are
but only legends of folklore"
There is no proof that we exist
just stories from times gone by
And so the little fairy
breathed out a gentle sigh
All peace was now restored
her flight of fright over
So fairies to hearts content
nightly dance, in fields of cloverÂ

Hi Tony I love your writes on fairies you bringÂ
everything  about them to life just magical.
I remember a film i watched years ago about fairies being capturedÂ
in photographs at the bottom of the garden by two sistersÂ
was in the 1930s IÂ think and was said to be true at the time?
