Fate took you quickly
A morning walk, gone by night
With part of our souls

Our precious Angel Nico, we all miss you so very much;
We pine for your sweet love and soft kisses, you little nose to touch!
Two years now since that horrid eve, when Fate stole you from our sides;
Each day we feel such loneliness, each night our sad eyes cry!

We will never heal from the fatal shock, of how this came to pass;
For you went walking on a Monday morn, but that evening was your last!
It’s a nightmare that goes on and on, we ask “How can this be?”;
Instead of up in Heaven, Nico should still be down here beside me!

We try to make each other smile, but can’t erase the void;
The aching in our broken hearts, that long for their old joy!
Fate found our vulnerability, the heel of our Achilles;
He stole a part of all our souls, the night our Nico ceased to be!

Our hearts ever cry
Our souls sob in loneliness
Our Nico is gone
