The fire flysheet lantern

The fire flysheet lantern

In the shadowed halls of my weary mind,

Where hope seemed lost, and light confined,

A flicker arose, so tender, so small,

A firefly's glow—a beacon, a call.

Through tangled thoughts and thorny fears,

It danced, defying my weighted tears.

Its fragile lamp, a golden thread,

Wove paths where even dreams had fled.

Each flutter spoke in whispers sweet,

"Follow me where shadows retreat."

Though doubts loomed large, their claws entwined,

That tiny spark refused to resign.

It lit the cracks of my broken soul,

Piecing fragments to make me whole.

Its glow, a guide, a quiet song,

Sang, "You've been strong all along."

Oh, firefly, my companion dear,

Your light dissolves each lurking fear.

In the darkness vast, you taught me to see—

That the glow within is the key to be free.
