The First Day of Every Season

The first day of every season,
I’ve sealed each in an envelope
Carefully with loving caution &
Hidden them in your cupboard.
On your birthday when it dawns,
Those first days of every season,
The oneness we lived the past year
I wish to present as my gift to you.
Open them gently, tender as dew
Lest the laughter escape away, or
Held back once, the tears flow out
Upending the contained bitterness.
However, two deeds will explode, as
The embraces and love'll never age.

Just another long and much wished fantasy of a hopeless
and foolish romantic heart. Â :)

Shukriya so much for your generous review Christopher; much appreciated! :)
All art, and especially great art, is the "...much wished fantasy of a hopeless and foolish romantic heart."
Wonderful...as always.

Shukriya so very much Jason! I do not know if I can call my any of work art, but really do wish, no, desperately yearn that my hopeless romantic fantasies, if only just a few, would someday come true. :)
As much as I'd love to reply with a poetic flourish or sage advice...the only thing which comes to mind is...
Ditto!
