THE FIRST NIGHT

The night was full of stars I seem to recall
I know we had a drink just by the town hall
For certain I was dazzled by what you wore 
It was a floral dress I know that for sure 

The night was over before it had begun 
So much joy we had and so much fun 
That first evening in my heart will remain 
Forever implanted in my weary old brain 

The night I still try to capture to this day 
You and I are still in love I'm happy to say 
Sure we have ups and downs all couples do
