The Flag Left Folded

Orders to return
Home
Sgt Cummins
was shot
while escorting
a family of 5
from the hands
of the Taliban
the flag
given to
his widow
and children
was left folded

Officer Brooks
just graduated
from Police Academy
while patrolling
the beat
was executed
by a self proclaimed
unarmed teen
in the burrows
Her father
was given a flag
left folded

Exiting
a Brand New
Porsche
a 49ner Quarterback
devised a plan
to show his
contempt
for those
given the folded
flag
by
Kneeling....

The Man
has not
been blemished
he continues
to stand
he continues
to roll
in wealth
that he has
made from the
backs
of those
he pretends
to speak
for

Social Injustice
Racism
Social Oppression
were not created by
the Patriot
rather by those
who never
volunteered
to fight
yet were
decision makers
to the conflict

Thumbing
your nose
to Patriotism
Will only disarm
and shame the
Heroes to
Service
and justify
the existence
to the politicians
who were never given
a flag
left folded...............................
