The Flower

The Flower

A beautiful flower has been crushed again
The storm beat down on what might've been
The light begins to fade so fast
Hopes and dreams left to the past

What of now? What can I do?
All my petals off they flew
Into the dark and lonely world
Over and under and away they swirled

Though darkness falls in all its gloom
There may be but one small bloom
Like the first buds after the cold
There's still hope that goes untold

Don't fret little flower,Ā  the light
will come
It won't be long before there's sun,
And again the flower will rise fromĀ  dust
Glorious and full,Ā  healed from all unjust
