The Fretting Dog

The Fretting Dog

I remember the night
When the joint was rolled
It was fat bellied and bloated
Like a pregnant trout...
Yes I remember the night
The ham was rationed
To silence the wimper
Of the fretting dogs shout...

The dog was now chilled
Like a penguins flipper
Yes the dog was chilled
Chewing on Daves coal pitted slipper

The night was wild
Like a free roaming stallion
To tame the night
We had a big fat Vallium

Nights like these
Will come again
We're a different breed
There's only us and them

(Gonzo poetry. Inspired by events witnessed by Syd and Dave. Written on location)

'Gonzo poetry'....if it doesn't exist as a literary term, it should! :)
Loved this.

Thank you T. Obviously this was written while intoxicated. I almost forgot about it. I can't decide whether or not to delete it.
Thanks for reading and liking it though.
