The Frogman Cometh

In the wee hours of the morning, before the sun will rise;
I walk for miles in the darkness, oft times I hear some horrid cries!
They are the result of a huge rainstorm, and the sewers that quickly fill;
In the waters are little froggies, that are croaking very shrill!
.
For they are trapped down there so helpless, they hop up, but slide back in;
With no food there to sustain them, their demise quickly will begin!
It breaks my heart to hear them, they beg for my rescue;
But I am only human, there is nothing I can do!
.
It makes me wish I was a frogman, and could end their saddest plight;
I’d jump in and bring them back up, to live another night!
I’d watch then as they hopped away, their croaks all filled with glee;
My heart would feel so joyous, my soul would happy be!
.
I heard a sad sound
A frog let out it’s last croak
Then there was silence

Dear Greg,
It is so wonderful to walk in the early hours of the morning and be in touch with nature. But it is so sad to hear those pitiful sounds of the little frogs, trapped in their watery graves.
Peace and Love,

My Dear Friend Richard,
It is hard to find words to answer such lovely adulation. I am a humble man, who feels that since coming on Cosmo, and with reading the works of great poets such as yourself, have become far more aware of how to express myself in poetry. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for honoring me with such praise.
Peace and Love,

Hi Larry, lovely write. Enjoyed this. Warm regards.
My Dear Cleo,
So happy you enjoyed it. I wrote it this morning after returning from my walk at 3 a.m., having heard those poor little frogs trapped forever in their Temples of Doom.
Hugs, Peace and Love,
