~ The Garden Near The Sea ~

Pray, be still, I have found it here
The place where sweet innocence reappears
Your sacred flowers alive along the promontory
I sit in silent sanctity,in the garden near the sea
To weave the madrigals of sweet repose
Brings joy to voices that sing what I dare compose
You're a muse that cleanses while canticles spray from the sea
I bathe in your scented beauty, which I find so inspiring
How can such a place exist without being overrun
Perhaps your organic magic doesn't work for everyone
But somehow my essence changes, simply by entering
Down the stone path, to the marble bench and memory swing
Where the cruelties of the world do gently slip away
No light, no color, was ever seen like here at heaven's gate
To the augury created, so deep inside of me
Which only ever happens, reflecting, in the garden near the sea...

Hi Tony, I just love this poem as it sings of the sea . I live close to the sea and would never want to be away from it..No matter how many worries one might have..walking along the shoreline, just listening to the sea and the sounds of nature ,immediately acts as a balm to the senses! Beautifully written my talented friend and a joy to read...Lodigiana xx
