~ The Garden Near The Sea ~

~ The Garden Near The Sea ~

Pray ,be still, I have found it here
A place, where sweet innocence reappears
Your sacred flowers, alive along the promontory
I sit in silent sanctity, in the garden near the sea

To weave the madrigals of sweet repose
Brings joy to voices, singing what I compose
From a muse that cleanses as canticles spray from the sea
I bathe in your scented beauty, so rhythmically inspiring

How can such a place exist, without being overrun
Perhaps your organic magic doesn't work for everyone
But somehow my essence changes, simply by entering
Down the stone path, to the marble bench and memory swing...

Where the cruelties of the world do gently slip away
No light, no color, was ever seen like here at heaven's gate
To the augury created, so deep inside of me
Which only happens while reflecting, in the garden, near the sea...

I really like this Tony, you describe a peaceful place that feeds the soul and the soul is ever hungry.
I can relate to your words
'But somehow my essence changes, simply by entering'...
I have felt this and at such times I know there I am at one with something greater or other,  or something like that, it's very hard to explain
Lovely write, love and light to you ?

Hi MARION!!..... actually, for me, It's not as hard to explain as some of my other grandiose questions about this life (smiles)......I have traveled for many years of my young life seeking out what some refer to as 'power places' in the world...... and there ARE many..... have you ever been to the top of a pyramid?...... I have and you can literally feel the difference as you stand there.... the energy is different..... it's tangible......I had some of the most amazingly creative moments of my life in places like that...... through meditation, using my pen, strumming my guitar, or the dreams from napping in such places as Stonehenge or in 'Sensory Deprivation Chambers'.......I used a garden in this instance because such a place actually exists....... anyway, I can tell by some of your other comments as well that you DO know what I mean and it's always a pleasure to speak with someone like you......I bet it would be quite a conversation if we spoke in person or on the phone or something...... the truth is.... one of my favorite things to do in life is to meet/speak with people such as yourself....... the world is fast-changing and these types of conversations are quite necessary....... I'm rambling on..... apologies for 'going overboard' here Marion.....I just get excited about this kind of subject matter.......I speak about much of it on my blog (which is sitting dormant at the moment).... but it's fun stuff for me and truly the stuff that defines 'modern evolutionary theories' in my most humble opinion..... Oh my ~ there I go again!! : )......I'll let you go now....... stay curious my friend...... LOVE & ROCKETS!!....... Tony. : )

Being Me

What a beautiful place!  I remember reading a poem called ...I think it was "The Garden Of Proserpine."  Reading your poem here reminded me of that one as soon as I read the line

To weave the madrigals of sweet repose

I have no idea why it should remind me so... it it just does.  Great writing as always x
