~ The Garden Near The Sea ~
Pray, be still, for I have found it here
A place where sweet innocence reappears
Your sacred flowers, alive along the promontory
I sit in silent sanctity, in the garden near the sea
To weave the madrigals of such serene repose
Brings joy to voices singing, what I dare compose
From a muse that cleanses, as canticles spray from sea
I bathe in your scented beauty, so rhythmically inspiring
How can such a place exist, without being overrun
Perhaps your organic magic doesn't work for everyone
But somehow my essence changes, simply by entering
Down the stone path, to the marble bench and memory swing
Where the cruelties of the world do gently slip away
No light, no color, was ever seen like here at heaven's gate
To the augury created, so deep inside of me
Which only happens while reflecting, in the garden near the sea...
