The Ghost Of Andronicus

The Ghost Of Andronicus

He came to me from the first century,
the man from Judea had been part of history,
he told me that he would be returning,
to see if there had been any learning.

He did not like many things he could see,
'Have you not begun to stop fighting stupidly,
surely the days of differences are over now,'
I said, 'No, they're not, we're not capable anyhow.'

'We had an empire,' he said, 'Those days are over,'
it''s time to all live together peacefully brother,
in fact, God will now force you to do so,
our empire was not god-fearing and forced to go.'

'You've had two thousand years to abide by God's rules,
but instead all you do is behave like a bunch of fools.'
