Poem -

the ghost that never came along

the ghost that never came along

The ghost that never came along

I am the faded memory
that hangs upon your wall
The night birds calls my tune
as the saddest notes will fall

I am the faded photograph
that lives in an ancient memory box
along with ribbons and birthday cards
and aĀ Ā pair of infants Sox.

I am the distant sound of silenceĀ
that rings upon your heart.
that wakes you up from deepest sleep
and cause the tears to start.

I am the love that's passed on bye
leaving longing in your soul
I am part of you your other half
that you need to feel quite whole.
