Poem -
The GI
Feeling
the butt end
of a rifle
is not pleasant
Seeing the pictures
of loved ones
in a locket
around a
fallen enemy's
neck
is forever tormenting.
Justification
for the fight
will always
be a useless
controversary
between
world leaders
politicians
and those
who
did not
have to
make the
sacrifice
nor
live with
the very
haunting
residue
that plagues
a soldier's mind............................

Some Soldiers would say it's what they signed up for...
Some say their just doing the job they were called to do...
Not everyone wants war and I'm sure many would like the leaders to fight their own battles in which they create...
Take responsibility for their choices and actions...
Soldiers are in thoughts in prayers everyday...
