The Gift Of Life

My eyeless soul will clearly see the
glory of the  kingdom of Heaven.
My eyes I leave to the child in darkness..
In heaven no need for sustaining blood,
give  mine to restore the injured in need.
My wings will carry my weightless spirit
now free of the weight of earthly organs.
My heart so filled with love will beat
within  a chest I'll never meet.
I leave my all  to breath earth life
into broken bodies so filled with strife.
Remember me through gifts of giving
please give  your bodies to the living.
Don't let these gifts be  buried deep
to wither and die whilst you just sleep,
and when  the worst of me is  gone
my faults and weakness don't  live on
Pass on  the good, be happy to,
and know the joy that this will do. 
These gifts please give to aid the living
and  be remembered  for what you're giving.
When my time is done and I am gone
my gifts will help the sick live on

This was inspired by a piece I read on the difference that can be made by donation of organs after death.
