The Glance, The Growth, The Gamble

The Glance, The Growth, The Gamble

You gave me that glance, But you didn't see me.

I saw you without even a turning my head in your direction.

My heart leapt when I heard you speak that first time.

My heart pounded when I heard your smile.

Tomorrow means something different than it did yesterday.

It's now opportunity to win you over, to get you to notice me.

Tomorrow is my hope, it's my gift, it's the anticipation of touching your lovely hand.

Five decades gone, I want to loose not another day of being with you.

I despise every moment of our departures and cherish every moment of our reunions.

No one has ever filled my eyes with such pleasure nor my heart with such need.

Never have I known desire until you sat at the table across from me.

Never had I known the satisfaction of a kiss until your lips touched mine.

You blessed me with the sharing of your body and spirit and now I'm hopeless.

No other can ever satisfy me, no other catches my eye, my ear, my heart.

You have offered your love, but I must first have your trust.

Without your confidence in me, I have nothing.

Your trust will be validated with every opportunity you allow me.

Love me, trust me, fall into me and know, I will always catch you.

I love you. I trust you, I know your value is much greater than you believe it is.  Trust me and you will see.
