Poem -

THE GOOD GHOST

When I am dead
I shall probably be
A very ungrateful
Ghost

Which may seem
Impolite and rude

To the great
Almighty host

And i shall return
I think, to see
The comings and goings
In a world without me

For i have been nosy
In this age old way
My whole life long
Most every day

Parting curtains
Peeking and prying
Getting my kicks
Out of snooping and spying

I will enjoy the ghostly life
I know
Floating the ether
Dreamy and slow

And I shall let people see me
In the darkness of night
Just for the fun
The delight of the fright

Though boredom in heaven
Will plague me I think
Too many saints
And angels who sing

And I can't sit on clouds
To pray the whole day
Not with those cherubs
There in the way

So I shall fly off on missions
Drop back down to earth
For it is after all
The place of my birth

I will pretend to do good deeds
Bestow love and stuff
On all the people below
In need of such love

And I shall cause mischief
And mayhem
And have myself a ball
Because eternity is
 the longest time
To be a good ghost after
 all.
