The Grand Square In An Early Morning

- To all freedom fighters, Yiyan Han(c), 2017-11-17

The Grand Square In An Early Morning

Inspired, as shown in the image, by an original tweet posted by @marialin1913 (红树林间语, but the  account no longer works, and a new one is @wintersweet313). My poem, both in Chinese and English, was composed on 2017-11-17, and last modified on 2017-12-13.

In that early chilly morning,
The cloud was ignited by fire,
The sky ignited by the cloud,
The square then dyed red by the sky.
The Goddess on the square dropped the torch
In her hands, caught by death.
The sky returned to darkness
