THE GREED OF FOOTBALL

Once considered a game for the working man
Football in England was where it all began
Support your team and you will be called a fan
Scoring goals is the ultimate master plan

Now the sport I love is taken over by greed
A super league proposal is not what we need
Players,managers,pundits are all totally agreed
Hoping this proposerous idea will not succeed

I support my team regardless win lose or draw
Will have my support today and forever more
The greed of football is very worrying for sure
Rich teams have no consideration for the poor

Yes, I agree Kieran, an equal playing ground would be a great idea! Although what do I know, if I were prime minister I think we'd end up with communism! Enjoyed this one a lot

Kieran you clarion it so wisely, loudly and I hear you, for their is more at stake than just the beautiful game.
It' s a V's up to all fans who week after week travelling many expensive miles let alone the price of a ticket to religiously support  and cheer their loved but now avarice driven financial managment/directors/owners teams.
How much money do they seek for how much is too much?
Full honours bestowed and a great write but I guess sad you had to write it in the first place.
And the love of money is the root to all evil.
The players should go on strike, ALL who are affected by this foolhardy and reckless stupidity.
