The guy in the blue shirt

The guy in the blue shirt
Was walking down the road
When he came to this mountain
He saw a light glowing at the top
Someone said don’t go there
You will never be the same
As the guy in the blue shirt
Walks up the mountain he
Walks past rivers and streams
Past wild flowers and the sun
Is shining bright and the birds
Are singing and the bells are ringing
As the guy in the blue shirt
Walked up the mountain Almost
To the top he can hear children
Singing, Ave Maria and angels
That whispered in the wind
We love you
As the guy in the blue shirt
Gets to the top, the sun is shining
And he stretches out his Arms
And says prayer to the world
And the world turned and saysÂ
Amen as the angels and God
Blessed The guy in the blue shirt.

I could see heaven. Curiosity can sometimes get the better of any human. There's a lot to reflect on in these line. 🌹
thank you Shirley Â
I think the guy in the blue shirt has a great deal of gratitude.
Good writing Greg. Greetings.Â
Greg, truly blessed is the man who wears a blue shirt.
Love the religious angle and deftly done throughout and you mention the sun as well in your poem of light.
What more could a captivated reader ask for.
Great writing again my friend and thank you for sharing and it leaves a sense of wonderment on just who that guy in the blue shirt really is based on.
Thanks again Greg and I will catch up on your latest poems as the week ahead progresses, in the meantime I wish you well and all power to your superb imagination and your poetry pen.👍

Thank you, ShaunÂ
Yes, the guy in blue shirt is real
His name is Ray and my friend Debbie challenged me to write a poem About him so I did, but Also wrote two poems about Debbie the girl that walked in the rain and your smile That was for Debbie and we are all friends just like you are my friend
Greg good to hear from you and just knew there was more to your poem and behold, a real person emerges and is graciously known to the world.
In fact two, Ray and Debbie and it's good to know how a poem starts and takes root for your good self to nurture and develop it.
They sound like good eggs both of them, and you my friend are Mother Hen to both, a real bond there and good to discover.
Will be reading those ones on Debbie soon.
Your friend Shaun :)Â

the guy in the blue shirt must be one hell of a guy & is clearly blessed .. I couldn't help noticing that he is known to you in real terms .. I must confess to having a particular liking for this kind of autobiographical/self disclosive poem .. Keep em coming Greg and hope life is treating you kindly .. NevilleÂ
