A Halloween Special

Just figured I'd make my own little contribution to the spirit of Halloween ;)

Atrophy eats on the weak
Puppets of plague infecting others to reap
Cannibals forced to feed
Tearing into others an undead seed
Contorting prey into neither man nor demon
They cry out in the night, neither damned nor heathen
Feral husks of the eaten
Following behind, your flesh their beacon
Shadows stalk the halls of a broken empire
The dead now walk and conspire
They march and howl with one desire
Attracted by sound and by light
We're being hunted by a blight
Man's extinction draws closer each night
Bodies bloated from families march on our gates
Our blood is their liquid that satiates
And now their number dominates
Enslaved by the disease
They carry their stench on a rotted breeze
Chewing on children ignoring their pleasΒ
Engorged and still hungry
Their skulls glare, deformed and ugly
The only answer must be heavy and bluntly
