The Happy Fourteenth Birthday Party

The Happy Fourteenth Birthday Party

I’ve been feeling very sad today, on your birthday, thinking about you;
I just called Mommy at her workplace, and she is crying too!
For we remember your last one with us, only two years ago today;
But then five and one-half months later, you had to sail away!
.
Mommy was looking in her gallery, at your treasured photographs;
From when we all were happy, no tears, but lots of laughs!
She pulled up this very special one, of your party, two years ago;
We invited Aunt Sue, Uncle Bill, and their doggie Teddy, who you love so!
.
We sat out on the patio, and had delicious dinners all;
You and Teddy got special meals, and you both had such a ball!
Then we sang you Happy Birthday, and we had our good desserts;
We gave you doggie ice cream, so your tummies would not hurt!
.
After we all had finished, Uncle Bill put you on his lap;
Giving you a big birthday kiss, as jealous Teddy yap yapped!
This photograph we treasure, for you are no longer here;
The laughter from two years ago, now has turned to tears!
.
.
Just two years ago
We shared the joys of you
But today we weep

Dear Eddy,

Our little doggies were not only loved ones, they were our children.  Having to bury two, within two and one-half years, has been the harbinger of the most excruciating pain we have ever known.
Thank you for your beautiful comment.

Love,
Linda and Larry xxx

Our Dear Greg,

We still remember the beautiful comment you wrote on August 6th, 2017, the day after we lost our Cody, and put our "In Memoriam" on Cosmo.  You told us this story of the rainbow then, and how it had made you cry, as reading your beautiful comment again today, has brought tears to our eyes too.

We Love You,
Linda and Larry xxx

Our Dear John,

It is so hard to believe, that just two years ago, Cody was so full-bodied and healthy, never dreaming that in 5 1/2 months, he would lose 40% of his body weight, and we would have to make that terrible decision to have to send him to Heaven.

All our love,
Linda and Larry xxx

Dogs are the best.  Sorry for loss.  Cherish the memory.

Dear James,

The adage, "A Dog Is A Man's Best Friend", is an understatement, because they are also one's Soulmate.  Our two little boys losses have been excruciating, for we are too old to start another family, however, we will cherish their memories forever.

Love,
