The Healing Darkness

It's 3am but I wouldn't know;

all the lights of the city are a distant memory

This present is an eternal truth:

ignorance is bliss---sometimes

It is darkness that lets in the moonlight

What wonderful medicine

My roots -- long buried deep -- are nourished richly

Shriveled parts of my self are revived

My hairs entwine upwards with the vines of the forest

Stillness infuses the air with pristine tranquility:

the pores of my skin soak it in

A lullaby of nature's choice musicians

sustains enchanted state

I dream nothing but the harmonious realignment of my stars

as I recharge every chakra in excited anticipation

of the coming dawn
