The horrible hairy moth 🪰

Beware of the arachnid that hovers overhead
Fluttering in a flapping frenzy when the daylight is dead
You cannot see a thing so you switch the light on instead
When those horrible hairy wings will make you hide for cover in your bed

Not the spider variety but the privet-hawk moth
It is cloaked all in drab colours just like a man of the cloth
Hanging around the lightbulb making it as dark as a goth
Those dam insects are as thick as a pan of broth
