THE HUNGER

I see you there. Splashing
about in an ocean of melted
hearts, lapping it up.
Relishing. I see you have gift
for us, a tea pot and a silver
cup. Do you smile?... as we
peer to the empty depths,
bemoan our thirst with
choking sups, tip away the
useless dust. Our wizened
mouths turned monstrous
green, still hungry for the
tarnished rust...because it was
never silver was it

To quench the thirst.....to abolish The Hunger......a worthy quest....and certainly an Evil jest.....from that/whom which may dangling the lust in front of us.......your use of language is mighty and impressive.....and reveals a VERY powerful searching inside your self.....ALL STARS!!.....I sometimes find myself at a loss when trying to interpret your minds eye and its offerings.....but then I see myself there......The seeker!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!.....T xo : )
PS. you may smack me if I'm off base in my interpretation here!! : )

Some truly creative and wonderful wordsmithing here Marion! The first lines grab the readers attention brilliantly and the whole poem does not release the reader until the whole of it is read. Beautiful in its entirety and as deep as that ocean of melted hearts. Awesome work âx
