~ THE INTOLERABLE ~
From the old hag waiting in the Intolerable
A whisper of unholy hope,
Hold onto those human feelings
For we flatter ourselves with gypsy years
Counting on a savior,
Counting on the insincere,
Counting on anything, that gets us near
To feeling better than being here,
Time to face the crow...
From the voices hanging out beyond
The veil of religious edifices,
The times when memories served us well
As if we stole them from someone else,
From praying to the devil's doppelgangers
To working for the liars who enslave us,
We've still no idea how this all works
Who taught us to trust, in the very worst
Never knowing, the why...
It seems implausible, that lies somehow
Place us beneath the very same tent
As patients fighting for one more breath,
Or pilots, wishing to circumvent
The veil, which holds reality together
And yet, we find small truths incompetent
For dealing with the energies, already set
In the constitutional stone of our forefathers
No matter how honestly twisted, they were bent...
"The Intolerable" ~ Unsolvable
