THE JOURNEY

Left his own country by a boat late one night 
One case of belongings he was travelling light
The journey would be long he knew for sure
Not knowing what was ahead or in store 

Like minded people had the very same idea 
No turning back their decisions were clear
So off they all went to face this brand new start
The tears of mothers forever etched in their heart 

Fleeing one's own country is a brave thing to do
Shouldn't be taken lightly that's certainly true 
Finally arriving at their planned destination 
Met with tears of joy and wild celebration
