Red stripey candy canes and baubles of bling

Children muffled up with woolly hats as carollers sing

Choir boys harmonize and church bells ring

Pretty presents underneath the Christmas tree wrapped up with glittery string..

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire

Grandmother’s warming her tootsies as flickering flames rise higher

Robin redbreast puffs his chest up with his festive attire

“Oh yay” “Oh yay” yells the very merry town crier..

Boys get new blue bycyles and girls get pretty dollies

Grandad sips his hot toddies and joins in with the jollies

Pantomimes about Puss in boots full of funny festive follies

Red beaded berries upon prickly hollies...

These are the joys of Christmas past

Marvellous memories were made when we all had a blast

And deep snow lay from that Arctic weather forecast

And little ones rushed down their stairs coz Santa Claus had been at last!!!🎅🏼
