The Keto Flu

My sweet Linda was so adamant, about losing lots of weight;
She heard about the Keto Diet, and that it was absolutely great!
So, last Sunday we plunged into it, spending hundreds on its supplies;
Both dedicated to sticking with it, but then we got a big surprise!

There’s a side affect known as Keto Flu, which some will sadly get;
Their bodies reject the fatty blends, that to the T are set!
We started on it last Monday, this strict diet regimen;
But by Tuesday, there were messages that Linda’s tummy began to send!
.
It said it was unhappy, from the plethora of fat;
That she had to be ingesting, for the extra pounds combat!
Each day, her woes augmented, nausea hit its peak;
Yesterday, we reached a decision, that other diets must we seek!
.
So, this morning it’s back for returning, the unopened groceries;
The dreaded Keto constituents, that sickened my dear baby!
It’s also back to greener pastures, we’ve missed our fruit and veggies so;
But we’re not giving up on weight loss, we’ll find another route to go!
