The Laborer

He drudges without despair,
Day after day in hope of repair.
Time passes but the work goes on,
Long after this task has gone.
The dogs barking at the heels of accomplishment,
Bringing forth joy for the development.
Not seeing the wisdom they uncover,
Understanding nothing, not knowing what to discover.
Another task taken, just another toil,
Water would help to fertilize the soil.
Grapes could grow it wouldn't take much time.
Only if you wanted to turn into wine.
Still The Laborer cares for your soul,
Does everything just to let you know.
Vanity far from all that he is,
Righteousness overtakes all that is his.
