The Last Birthday

Cody Ran 2-27-03 to 8-5-17

The Last Birthday

Happy Birthday Cody, today you’d have been eighteen;
We’d be throwing you a party, with happiness to glean!
But it’s been four lonely years now, since the last one that we shared;
You left just five months later our hearts and Souls impaired!
.
Here you are at your last one, in the arms of your Uncle Bill;
Aunt Susan, Mommy, and Daddy, Happy Birthday being trilled!
This day brings back such memories, of all the parties that we threw;
Now sobs instead of laughter, wishing still to be with you!
.
.
It’s that day again
The fourth Birthday without you
Tears replace candles
