THE LOBBY

Ornaments hang on the Christmas Tree in the Hospital Lobby...
A Picture, a Story, and a Wish is on the back...
A child asks to see the Christmas Tree...
That's me...
There's my friend James, and there's Joshua, Julie and Jen...
A few days later...
Would you take me to the Christmas Tree?
We only need to go as far as the Lobby...
Some of the Ornaments are no longer on the Tree...
Where are they? The child asks...
Is someone going to make their wish come true?
Oh little one that's a great reason the Ornaments are gone...
I'm still there...
Do you think someone will choose me?
What did you wish for?
I wished for a Ribbon for my hair, but if my hair fell out I wished for a Headband instead...
I wish to see my Family happy with no tears because it's Christmas...
A few days later...
Did you see the Tree today?
No, I came to see you first...
Would you like me to take you and we can see it together?
Not today, I feel a little tired...
Would you go see if I'm still on the Tree?
Come back and tell me please?
You're still hanging beautifully on the Tree...
I came to see you today...
You've been too tired to see the Tree...
You didn't get to hear but, someone took your wish off the Tree...
I will leave a note with your Picture and your Thank You...
Thank you for choosing me, I tried to stick around, I'm sure the gift is beautiful...
I'm not able to see it, but would you place it on the branch that still has A Face, A Story, and A Wish?
Hugs...
